Preferred Accommodations

During admission or pre-admission you will be asked to make a request for accommodation. The choices are:

• Ward (three or more beds)
• Semi-Private (two beds) or
• Private (one bed)

You will be required to sign the request and provide your insurance information. An imprint of your credit card will be requested for any balances not covered by your insurance.

Daily Rates
Sault Area Hospital is pleased to include complimentary home comforts such as television, movies, telephone services and a daily newspaper with all paid semi-private and private rooms. The rates are:

• Semi $220/day
• Private $265/day

We will make every effort to assign you to the accommodation that you have requested, however, you or your insurance company will be charged based on your request and assignment.
Example of how accommodation will be charged:

Before coming to the Hospital please confirm with your insurance company or employer whether or not you have Extended Health coverage for Preferred Accommodation and be prepared to provide your insurance information. If we have your insurance information we will bill your insurance company directly. Please note you are responsible for any balance that your insurance company does not pay.
