Donation for Training and Education

SAH was awarded a Grant in Medical Excellence of $30,000 from the TD Bank Group. The funds will be used to maintain and upgrade the skills of nurses and other caregivers at the hospital.

The gift, which is part of TD’s commitment of $150,000, will be disbursed over a five-year period, allowing more than 100 participants to attend a number of educational activities that will in turn enhance the care provided SAH.

In order to continue to improve patient care and services, it is imperative that hospital staff continually acquire new knowledge and skills. On-site learning opportunities, conferences and workshops are keys to allowing staff to network with peers, share resolutions to common challenges and learn about state-of-the art practices.

Thank you to TD, which has been investing in medical practitioners at hospitals and health care facilities across Canada under the TD Grants in Medical Excellence program since 2000.
