Emily Aube

Emily Aube is an Assistant Human Resources Consultant in Recruitment and holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a specialization in Human Resources. She began working at SAH 5 years ago and also worked as a Buyer in the Logistics Department.

She is currently completing a 6-month secondment as a Process Improvement Consultant in the Transformation Department. In his role, Emily works collaboratively as a team member to identify and implement process improvements that result in best patient care. “A significant aspect of my role is to support staff by identifying opportunities and the collection of data to make positive changes that result in efficient processes and ultimately improved patient care,” says Emily.

This position has allowed Emily to work closer with clinical staff and physicians. The experience has allowed her to gain a deeper understanding of the many facets of hospital operations. In addition, Emily has learned about best practices, leadership development and lean methodology. “Working in both operational and clinical areas has really helped me to grow as an SAH employee. I plan on applying what I have learned when I return to my position in Human Resources.”

What’s most rewarding to Emily? “I have had the opportunity to work with so many great people in each role I have held and I feel my input, work and contributions are appreciated and valued. It is rewarding to see first-hand, how process improvements benefit staff and patients. I am proud to be an SAH employee.”

Outside of work, Emily likes to keep active and plays volleyball and baseball. Last year, she completed her first 10 km run thanks to the help of the SAH Wellness Committee’s Running Group. She has a passion for travel and enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
