Parking and Transit Services

A paid parking lot is available at the front of the General site for visitors dropping off patients for testing or Emergency services. This lot is intended for short duration parking. All other parking is located between and to the rear of both hospital buildings. Handicap spots are designated in both hospital lots.

A $5.00 charge (loonies, toonies, quarters) must be paid upon exit. Visitors, patients and students who make frequent trips to the hospital have the option to purchase a parking card for $40.00 per month, plus GST. Arrangements can be made through the Cashier’s Office at the General site or the Patient Billing Office at the Plummer site.

Metered parking is available to all patients for short periods along the east side of the Plummer site. The rate is $1.00 for one hour to a maximum of $2.00 for two hours. In addition, the south side of the Plummer (Renal Dialysis entrance) has seven metered parking spots designated for handicap use only. The rate is $1.00 for one hour to a maximum of $2.00 for two hours.

Change machines are located near the front and back exits of both hospital buildings.
Sault Are Hospital parking lots and roadways are patrolled by hospital security and city police. Vehicles inappropriately parked will be ticketed and may be towed if they are in fire and ambulance lanes or in handicap parking areas without authority.

Bus stops are located on Queen Street in front of each hospital.

Checker Cab direct-dial lines are located in the lobbies of both hospital sites.
