volunteerassoc_94Volunteers play a beneficial role at the Sault Area Hospital. They positively contribute to ensuring the very best patient care through their hard work, compassion and dedication. Our volunteers provide support to visitors, patients and their families by creating a supportive and caring environment. Learn more about volunteering at SAH.

Sault Area Hospital is fortunate to have over 300 volunteers. They include Volunteer Association, Teen, Pastoral Care, Hospice, and Medical Day Care volunteers who, during the last year, donated over 55,000 hours of their valuable time to the patients and staff at SAH. Assistance is provided to numerous areas of the hospital, including Ambulatory Care, Gift Shop, Surgical Day Care, Emergency, Palliative Care, Boards/Committees, Long Term Care, Medical Imaging, Paediatrics, Information Desk and much more.

If you are interested in volunteering at SAH and are able to make a minimum six-month commitment, please contact Volunteer Resources for additional information.

Volunteers comprise of men, women and students from our surrounding community. We are grateful for their time and appreciate their role in creating a positive experience for all who enter our doors.
